Celebrating 55 years of Extraordinary Relationships!

Our History

In 1993, an interior decorator came into the shop and asked, “Do you sell drapery hardware”? Kristin looked sideways at a wrought iron fence display and replied, yes. From that day on Charles and Kristin exhibited in regional and international trade shows across the country with their line of drapery hardware. The hardware line expanded to include hundreds of finials, French rods, Swing rods, bay and bow rods to name a few. The nationwide response was remarkable from the beginning.

Charles and his wife Carole, founded Lundy’s in 1965 after his four year service in the military. This was the beginning of their journey, a twenty one year old man with a vision and a dream.  Over the next thirty years, Charlie worked in developing, building, and managing a local wrought iron business at a small shop in Lynn, MA. fabricating custom railings, gates, and fences for local architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and private clients.

Charles’s daughter, Kristin, always had an interest in the beautiful iron work her father fabricated and a passion for interiors and fashion design. In her twenties she was working as a dress and swim-wear buyer for a large retail store. She decided to change her career path and partnered with her father to bring his quality iron work to the forefront. With her energetic personality, a sense of style and his no fear attitude in the ability to think out of the box, they expanded the iron business and opened a little shop on Main Street in Wenham, MA. One could find her father’s creative work including garden gates, custom iron tables, trellises, arbors, fireplace screens, as well as, a variety of wrought iron for the home and garden made by himself, as well as, other blacksmiths and craftsmen from across the country.

With the success and rapid growth, Lundy’s purchased a 26,000 square foot facility allowing them to expand and grow. Lundy’s now offers a 42 page drapery hardware catalog, iron fabrication for the home and garden, powder coating, sand blasting and plasma cutting services in their state of the art manufacturing facility. Their work has been published in many magazines including Home Beautiful, Traditional Home, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, and Show houses around the country. Lundy’s supplied hardware for the movie Ransom, as well as, fabricating hardware for many well known actors, actresses, sports and political figures.

Lundy’s has evolved into what it is today though continued learning and the close collaboration with their customers. They strive to build strong, trustworthy relationships with their design savvy customers and always look for their creative compass to guide them.

“We are driven to remain an original thinker and stay true to our beliefs that quality is a priority”
